If you have durable medical equipment such as walkers, manual wheel chairs, power scooters and chairs, in usable and safe condition, that you would like to donate please call 813-375-3965. All equipment must be in good operating condition, clean and not be modified in any way. Donated equipment is recycled through the equipment services program. Self Reliance is unable to accept equipment that is not in good working condition, has been modified in any way or could pose a health or safety risk to others. The Center can not accept medical supplies such as prescription drugs, custom fit braces or special dietary supplies.
Due to limited storage space larger items such as hospital beds can not be accepted. If you have a large piece of equipment please call the Center and staff will attempt to locate someone who does need the item.
If you are unsure as to whether or not Self reliance can accept your item please call. Often times when an item cannot be accept you can be given a referral to another agency or individual who can benefit from your generosity.
All donors will be given a letter for tax purposes. Self Reliance does not determine the monetary value of donations.
